SODELA is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing refugees who have experienced persecution with the opportunities they need to rebuild their lives. Our mission is to enable these inspiring people to become productive and valued members of their communities.
Capacity Building
SODELA provides capacity building programs for refugees in the Knoxville Area. SODELA assistance to refugees with vote registration, empowering them to actively participate in the local democratic process.
Gardening Project
SODELA supports refugees in cultivating shared gardens, fostering a sense of community cohesion while enabling them to grow fresh produce for their families. Through this initiative, refugees not only gain access to nutritious food, but also develop valuable gardening skills and strengthen their connection with nature.
Citizenship Assistance
SODELA is dedicated to supporting refugees throughout their journey toward citizenship. We provide comprehensive assistance, including citizenship application to enhance their knowledge and preparation, as well as hands-on guidance in completing and submitting their citizenship applications. Our aim is to empower refugees, ensuring they have the necessary support and resources.
